Losing weight is synonymous with looking backwards. We want to get something back – our confidence, our joie de vivre, our pre-baby weight.

But the irony is, at the time we were (as we now perceive it) rocking with confidence, joie de vivre and a pre-baby bod, it is unlikely we considered ourselves to be. We weren’t moving through our day thinking how wonderful we looked. Actually we were probably “on a diet”.

We never think to ourselves, “gosh, I’m confident”, or, “I’m full of beans”, at a time when we, according to our future selves at least, are.

In the event we put on weight, however, all of a sudden our past self seems like a magnificent deity, a goddess, who absolutely has her shit together and knows what she wants in life. So we start to fight tooth and nail to get her back. It’s daft.

The only thing your past self has on you is a slightly smaller waist. She’s still on course to have a bigger one however. Fuck your past self, she was not a patch on what your future self can be and you know how I know this as fact? Because your past self was still just as much pushed around by her thinking as your current self. I know this is true because otherwise you wouldn’t be here, seeking answers as to why you can’t seemingly say no to a deli foods.

Your future self, the babe you are going to transform into as you read this, is NOT pushed around by her thinking, because she’s DECIDED not to be. That’s who you should be lusting after being – your future self. The broad who gives zero fucks about food anymore, because living life not being pushed around by your own thinking provides more satisfaction and more excitement and more fufillment than munching on deli foods ever could.

And when you’ve hit level 50 living, which is living in the feeling of you pushing your thinking around (and not the other way around), you realise the small, inconsequential stuff like food adds nothing to the overall joy of your day. So you detach from it quicker than your teenage boyfriend who you were never really into.

The one decision you need to make that’s going to upgrade your existence? Decide to stop being pushed around by your own thinking.

That’s where transformation lies.

That’s where freedom from food (and dieting) lies.

That’s where you can truly start to rock the sh*t out of life.

Peace, bitches xx
